I swear to god
all this timeskip business roaming about but
imagine in season 8dean or cas making vague references to purgatory that just
like oh my gOD like they have their own inside jokes like
like “you and I remember purgatory very differently” like thAT SORT OF THING
AND LIKE THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER AND SAM
IS JUST “DON’T WANT TO KNOW OKAY MOVING ON”
I would actually LOVE this. Possibly even more than actually seeing the two in Purgatory.
Because if Dean and Cas get out, they could have this shift in their relationship. And Sam sees it, but doesn’t know what exactly it is that changed. It doesn’t have to be in a shippy way, more just… there’s trust, and friendship and a deeper bond than there had been before. And the more Sam finds out about it, the more we do too, so we have things to look forward to. We discover what happened along with Sam.
And also the flashbacks Dean has, and the things he and Cas do during hunts - easily throwing weapons towards each other like Sam and Dean do - would be… I don’t know, I just really like it okay.
